lisa kim is the sole child to umbrella virologist, michael kim. her mother, christina kim, was previously a psychologist before her death. christina suffered from undetected pneumonia, passing away when lisa was quite young. it happened when she was so young, that lisa barely has memories of her; the few she has play out as blurry, candid images when she tries to recall them. michael became obsessed with his work after christina’s passing, having a new motivation to find cures to different illnesses. lisa lived a lonely childhood, interactions with her father being quite rare. her social life was interrupted early, too, as she was pulled out of public school after her father accepted a job opportunity at umbrella corporations. she became homeschooled, her teacher being a woman by the name of emma beck. lisa was quite fond of emma, as she was truly her only source of connection while growing up. one evening, michael never returned home from work. no heavy footsteps, no swinging of the office door. lisa assumed he was busy, or simply late due to the snowy weather. that was until two umbrella employees, paul and maxine, showed up. they took her into custody——claiming they needed information on her father and his whereabouts due to a ongoing outbreak. during the drive, the pair pick up a man by the name of bryan hodukavich, a medical courier who was unknowingly tasked with delivering an antidote agent to raccoon city general hospital. while bryan is attempting to retrieve the car keys from maxine’s corpse, lisa spots the pedestrian in the distance. her attempts to warn paul are unsuccessful. with him being captured by the monster, lisa is able to escape with bryan into the sewers. reaching the hospital’s parking garage, it’s revealed to lisa that bryan is infected. she silently listens to him record his message to his girlfriend, michelle. despite the short–amount of time she had known bryan, lisa became emotional over his state, thinking of her own family, or the lack thereof. before bryan leaves to begin his journey up to the lab, lisa keeps his phone, promising to deliver the message to michelle, just in case. lisa is last seen in the parking garage, anxiously waiting for bryan’s return. [her fate is unknown.]

001 : epilogue / default portrayal. with bryan receiving the antidote and being cured, lisa is taken in by the national guard. umbrella corporations discovered documents that revealed michael had injected lisa with a small dosage of a t–virus prototype. the virus is dormant and acts as a vaccine, granting her immunity. being in protective custody, umbrella brings her in frequently for experimentation and questioning. despite the limitations, lisa truly alone for the first time and her world feels much vaster. now she’s learning to navigate life and build a sense of self.002 : epilogue (film accurate). waiting for bryan to return back to the parking garage, lisa becomes increasingly more doubtful of his survival. she decides to go out on her own, but without any protection lisa soon succumbs to the outbreak.003 : post–epilogue. after the outbreak of raccoon city, lisa is able to enroll into university for cybersecurity. although her courses were mostly online due to her circumstances, she befriends her classmate, katherine peake, after meeting to work on an assigned group project. eventually, lisa and katherine begin dating and live together in a small, cozy apartment with their cat finn. upon graduating, lisa is able to get out of protective custody as she begins working for the government.004 : resident evil games. tba. * timeline and events are flexible, depending on verse and connection. i’m willing to make adjustments to accommodate the interaction / plot.
